Car Ride

At the end of every month I go to a lunch with a group of guys from around KC at a property management company called Maxus Properties. My buddy Chad's family owns a Ford dealership.  The perks of owning a dealership are that you get to drive a free car which will eventually be sold.  Usually Chad drives a Lincoln or Explorer, but this time he had this Ford GT.  After the lunch I got to go for a ride in this car.  It was a really cool car and absolutely beautiful.  I barely fit inside.  No one over 6' 2" would be comfortable in this car.  Still neat. 

New family member

Barbie-Que "Q" Giammanco. We adopted Q from Wayside Waifs on May 2, 2010. We call her Q because whenever I see the word "Que" I think of the Spanish pronunciation "Kay" which means "What" in English. So we went with "Q" to avoid all confusion with our Latino friends. Click here for a video of Q.

The dog has this odd habit of laying on her back and will just stay in that position for like 5 minutes. We call it 'Dead Dog' position. What a lady she is. She enjoys a good belly rub, which is Holly's favorite thing to do.

BBQ Pork Shoulder

Made BBQ this weekend for a party.  Cooked the meat on the smoker for 6 hours using pear and apple wood for smoke and mixed in oak for heat.  After, 6 hours put the meat in individual foil pans and covered tightly.  Cooked the meat for another 10 hours until temp read ~ 210 degrees.  Shoulder benefits from overcooking as long as it is low and slow.  Watch Video.  It turned out great.  Will be repeating the technique.

April is almost over and there is some much to talk about!

In summary major events that occurred:
Home - Joe, Rick, and Luis poured a large section of concrete to expands our driveway.  Joe planted a new tree with the help of Sarah.  Spring flowers are in full bloom.   Holly has a "Glee" the tv show kick off party.  All the "Gleeks" dressed as their favorite Glee characters.  Luke and Holly were Sue Sylvester.

Out and About - Edward Hugh Watson III married Rebecca Colnar on 04/24/2010.  Eddie and I went and hit some golf balls the day before.  We each hit 50 and we were extremely sore. I have posted some videos.  http://www.youtube.com/user/jgiammanco1   Kevin G gave a great speech.    The wedding was a lot of fun and the bride was beautiful.

Skiing - Park City, UT 03/05/2010 - 03/07/2010

While starting a new business has been a challenge, there have been some perks.  Vacation is great because I approve my own time off and I also don't work a busy season (Tax time Jan1 - April 15) anymore.

Holly has a client in Salt Lake City, so we decided to go out early and go skiing/snowboarding.  We went to The Canyons and Park City Resort.  All the pics are from Park City Resort.  We forgot to take pics while at Canyons.  Holly did a great job snowboarding at Canyons and Skiing the next day at Park City Resort.  i snowboarded both days.

Connected Pay @ UMKC Dental Conference

To all,  Katie and I set up our booth at the Dental Conference here in KC.

It feels similar to the firm recruiting Katie and I used to do back at Missouri.

I am really please with our banners.  We are doing a giveaway of some dental composite kit.  It is the #1 selling composite kit in the world.  It is something all dentists use for filling cavities and what not.  Either way, I hope it draws some people into the booth.  We also have sales sheets, brochures for our online payment system, and Coozies to hand out.
